How a solo paralegal got a web presence that earns attorney trust before the first call.
NorthStar Paralegal, LLC · Remote freelance paralegal serving PI attorneys nationwide · Live since June 2026.
The challenge
Helen Franklin has 15+ years of litigation experience and a growing freelance practice. Her problem wasn’t credibility — it was that her web presence didn’t show any of it.
PI attorneys are a skeptical audience. They vet a freelance paralegal online before they ever reply to an email, and what they find decides whether the conversation happens. Helen needed a site that would pass that check, surface in search when attorneys went looking, and handle the admin — inquiries, newsletter signups, blog publishing — without adding hours to an already-full caseload.
One more requirement, easy to miss and harder to deliver: she needed to run the blog and newsletter herself, without a technical background getting in the way.
What we built
The main site — northstarparalegal.com
A fast, conversion-focused site built to rank and convert, on Astro + Sanity + Cloudflare Pages.
- A pain-first hero. “Overwhelmed by Personal Injury Paperwork?” — it names the attorney’s problem before asking for anything.
- A 12-service grid. Every service listed and scannable, so an attorney can confirm fit in seconds.
- Credentials up front. A.A.S. Paralegal Studies (Summa Cum Laude), 15+ years of litigation experience — positioned for a discerning professional audience.
- Transparent pricing. Three retainer tiers ($65/hr → $55/hr volume discount) plus an add-on fees table. Attorneys bill hours; they respect not having to ask.
- Eight attorney testimonials. Real endorsements, attributed by initials — credibility without breaching confidentiality.
- Live forms, zero maintenance. Contact form routes to Helen’s inbox via Resend; newsletter signup feeds MailerLite. Both protected by Cloudflare Turnstile + honeypot. No spam since launch, nothing for Helen to manage.
- Structured for search — both kinds.
Organization+ProfessionalServiceJSON-LD for rich results, llms.txt for AI assistants, and a hub-and-spoke blog architecture behind a 24-month content calendar.
The client education portal — a standalone owner’s manual
A purpose-built site (custom HTML/CSS on Cloudflare Pages) that teaches Helen to run her own content: a 2-year blog strategy, step-by-step Sanity publishing walkthroughs, a newsletter checklist, and three fully written sample posts. Plain English throughout — written for Helen, not for developers.
The numbers
[PLACEHOLDER — populate as the 24-month campaign produces data. Do not invent. Slots: Lighthouse scores (run and screenshot them — they’re strong), ranking movement on target queries, leads via contact form. Until then, this section can show the Lighthouse scores alone.]

Where it stands
Both sites are live. The forms work without anyone touching them. Helen has a 24-month content roadmap, the tools to execute it independently, and a monthly Care Plan covering monitoring, performance, and content support. Her web presence now does what she does: earn attorney trust, quietly and consistently.
